World Water Day – 2nd day challenge

Let’s play today with water. Make a water sensory bin for your children. Fun is guaranteed.

Water play idea for toddlers:

First we put some pebbles, sand and water in the bin and sea animals, boats and toy figures (everything what we found home). The little hands loved to play in the sandy, muddy water.

Play idea for preschoolers:

Next we played with clean water, where we could see clearly the animals in the water. We sang the song “A sailor went to sea” and listed all the animals, figures, objects. Talked about the colors of the animals, sea life, checked the under water animals in the “Usborne My first Encyclopedia” book.

Play idea for school aged and advanced English speakers:

Finally, we made an experience with oil and talked about water pollution. We mixed oil and cocoa powder.
